My intention is to create a sculptural ensemble that explore the intersection between painting and sculpture, with specific focus on the theme of Natura Morta (Still-life).

The artwork is a large scale sculptural representation of fruits, apple, pear, blueberries and a lemon. Made in stainless steel 6mm rods it will incorporate coloured and textured glass elements through-out the pieces to create a painterly effect, blurring the lines between sculpture and paintings.

The inspiration for this specific project comes from my painterly background, the fascination with light and shadows, colours and composition.

The combination of stainless steel and glass presents a unique opportunity to create sculptures that are both solid and transparent encouraging the environment to become part of the artwork.
